Free Small City Business Owners Workshop: Intro to State Government Contracting

Virginia buys goods and services totaling more than $6B every year — and that could include your small business.

Learn more in a FREE workshop from 10-11:30 a.m. on Jan. 22 that will educate small, woman, and/or minority business owners about opportunities to sell their goods and services to the Commonwealth of Virginia and many local governments.

"Intro to State Government Contracting" will be held at WillowWood Plaza, 10300 Eaton Place, Fairfax, in the large conference room. Register at eventbrite.com/e/intro-to-state-government-contracting-tickets-1105611416509.

This 90-minute workshop will provide information about the Virginia procurement process (the eVA system) and the benefits of SWaM certification (Small, Woman-owned, and Minority business). The featured guest speaker is Chris Tran Ley, business services manager at the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity.

This event is being held by the Fairfax City Office of Procurement Services, Fairfax Water Procurement, and the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity.
